Transmissions are where modern cars fall out of specification fastest and where generic garages are least equipped to help. A wrong-spec fluid or a rushed job can cost you a gearbox. We do transmission work because it's the niche where doing it properly actually matters — and because it's rarely done properly.
Routine transmission servicing using manufacturer-spec fluids: DSG, ZF auto boxes, torque-converter conventional autos, CVT, and manuals. Filter replacement where specified. Pan removal and inspection where the design supports it. Proper fill levels checked with the correct method for each gearbox — not guessed by feel.
Most modern autos benefit from dynamic fluid exchange, where a machine circulates new fluid through the entire system rather than just draining what's accessible from a sump bolt. It's the difference between changing half the oil and changing nearly all of it. If you've bought a used car with an unknown transmission service history, this is the single most valuable thing you can do for its future.
We are in the process of adding dedicated dynamic exchange equipment. The calculator below will estimate the cost for your car, and you can register interest to be contacted when we're ready to book appointments.
Most of the European and Japanese imports we work on have transmissions that benefit significantly from a proper service. If you own an import and you haven't had the gearbox touched, it is probably overdue.

FAQ
No, and manufacturers have quietly walked this back. DSG boxes have a schedule (usually 40k miles). Torque-converter autos benefit from fluid service every 60-80k miles. CVTs typically specify a change interval. 'Sealed for life' was a marketing claim; the physics of transmission fluid says otherwise.
A drain-and-fill replaces roughly half the fluid — the rest stays trapped in the torque converter, cooler and valve body. Dynamic exchange uses a machine to circulate new fluid through the entire system, pushing old fluid out as new goes in. It's the correct service for most modern autos when fluid condition matters.
Anything with a DSG, ZF 6HP/8HP, Aisin AWF8, Jatco CVT, or similar modern auto. Particularly if the car is over 40,000 miles and has never had a proper transmission service. Manuals benefit from oil changes too, just less dramatically.
