Field report — read through
Toyotas and Lexus cars have a reputation for lasting, and regular servicing with the right oil is a large part of why. The other part is knowing which engines have a known weak point and which are best left alone. We service, diagnose and repair both makes at our workshop in Bletchley, Milton Keynes: the Yaris, Aygo, Corolla, Auris, C-HR and RAV4, the Lexus IS, GS, NX and RX, the GR86, GR Yaris and GR Supra, and Japanese imports. Every service follows the manufacturer schedule and the service book is stamped. Prices are on our servicing page.
On a Toyota or Lexus hybrid we work on the conventional parts only: brakes, aircon, 12-volt electrics and diagnostics of those systems. We do not work on high-voltage batteries or the high-voltage system.

The current GR Supra uses a BMW-derived engine and a ZF eight-speed automatic, both families we know from BMW work. We diagnose it with a professional multi-brand scanner, and the gearbox service is covered on our ZF 8HP page.

We work on the conventional parts of a hybrid only: brakes, aircon, 12-volt electrics and diagnostics of those systems. We do not work on high-voltage batteries or high-voltage systems, so for hybrid system servicing a Toyota or Lexus dealer is the right place.

On the 2.2 D-4D diesel, head gasket problems are a documented issue, so coolant loss, overheating or white smoke should be checked promptly. We pressure-test the cooling system and test for combustion gases before calling it a head gasket, because a cheaper fault can show the same signs.
Yes, including Japanese-market models never sold here. We match fluids and filters by part number and engine code, and tell you up front if a part needs sourcing.
